PA WHEATFIELD — Wheatfield supervisors unanimously approved two major road contracts totaling $155,000 at their May 4 meeting. The board accepted Midland Seal Coating's bid of $48,420.34 and Pennsy's paving bid of $107,310. The supervisors also released $9,000 for first quarter Duncannon EMS funding and authorized Road Master Dexter Potter to purchase tractor tires at $845 each from Deimler Tire.
Paul Finkenbinder motioned to request a safety study from PennDOT regarding the Paradise and Narrows Road intersection, while the board declined a proposed tourism tax and scheduled a public hearing on a revised solar ordinance for 6:45 pm on June 1.
